What: Accessing RCEB services for children under & over ages 3. What are generic services & how to access them?
Here’s an opportunity to learn about the role of Regional center supports for your family & child. You will also learn about generic services such as SSI & Medi-Cal & IHSS and how to qualify for & benefit from these programs.

Learn Person Centered Thinking Practices (PCT) to understand the strengths, ambitions and vulnerabilities of a person so as to develop an effective action plan to enable better lives.

Presenter: Gomathi Ramesh, Bilingual resource counselor at Family Resource Navigators & parent of a daughter with disability & a Jeena member. Family resource navigators is a peer parent resource agency that works with families of children with developmental delays, disabilities, & social-emotional concerns in Alameda county.

Presenter: Gowri Kuthanur, Board member at Inclusive World & parent of a differently abled daughter & a Jeena member. Rooted in PCT practices, Inclusive World (IW) is an organization that believes in developing the skills of differently abled to empower and enable them lead productive lives of opportunity and choice.  IW has been offering several free informational presentations on PCT to share and spread the message. Gowri has attended training in PCT from Parents Helping Parents, Inc and Helen Sanderson Associates, Inc in Creation of One Page Profile (OPP).
