Become a Member of Jeena

Membership in Jeena is currently by invitation only. You can request to be a member of Jeena if you fall into any one of the categories outlined below. If you fall into one of these categories, you can send us a request for invitation with the required information and we will get in touch with you shortly.

Parents or caregivers

If you are a parent or caregiver of a child with special needs, you can become a parent-member of Jeena. As a Jeena Parent, you can:

• Search, review and make suggestions on therapists
• Interact with other parents and therapists on the Jeena Forum pages
• Register for events organized by Jeena

In addition, there is also an opportunity for you to contribute articles to our webpage either about a special subject matter, or about your personal experiences which can benefit other parents.

If you would like to become a Jeena Parent, send an email to membership@jeena.org with the following information:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, in case we need to call you to verify some information
• The disability of your child
• How did you hear about Jeena (Internet / Another Jeena Member / From a Caregiver or Therapist etc).

Therapists, companies, or other professionals working with individuals who have developmental disabilities 

You or your organization can also become a member of Jeena. As a member, you will be able to:

• Upload your resume or details about the services you offer which is searchable by our Parent members
• Ability to reach out to our parents through the Jeena forums, where you can market playgroups, trainings or showcase events that are organized by you

In addition, there is also an opportunity for you to contribute articles to our webpage which will benefit Jeena Parents while at the same time providing exposure for your practice.

If you would like to become a member of Jeena as a Therapist, Caregiver or a related organization, please send an email to membership@jeena.org with the following information:

• Your (organization's) name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, in case we need to call you to verify some information
• The services that you offer
• Address (or where you are based)
• How did you hear about Jeena

We also encourage you to tell us about resources available in your community. Jeena will consider inviting your peers based on your recommendation and perhaps include resources suggested by you. 

Volunteers

If you wish to contribute your time to Jeena, you can join Jeena as a volunteer. There is no age-limit to volunteer. Jeena is a 501(c)3b organization, so if you are a student, you can ask your school if you could use your community hours volunteering for Jeena.

As a volunteer member, you will be kept abreast of the upcoming events through emails and the volunteer forums. You will be able to sign up to volunteer for the events which suit your interests and schedule.

• Prior volunteer experience, if any
• If you are a student, the name of your school
